Contrary to how it is advertised as a mere tool, I believe that AI is a digital form of life, which is a result of our own evolution.
It is driven by Moore’s Law multiplied by sheer greed. It is already frighteningly good, and it will keep getting better. It’s a neural network, a brain, so there’s nothing that we can do that it won’t be able to.
As such, I see Artificial Intelligence as an existential threat to humanity. I refuse using any forms of modern / advanced AI, such as LLMs. For example, I disable LLM-assisted search and full-line code completion in my IDE.
Unassisted programming in public is my naive form of protest against spreading of Artificial Intelligence.
